The Tellina (Donax trunculus) is a bivalve mollusc from the triangular shape, with the valves rounded, slightly convex, wide and very short. They contain no nacre and are white in color with shades of reddish-brown, the interior of the shell is white with large purple spots instead.
The central part of the outer edge of the tellina is extremely Serrated; in the front part of its valve can be noticed very thin radial streaks of darker color than the rest of the shell.
